The founder and President of Stillwaters Estates Inc., Dr. Dave, as he was known to most of his patients, served for many years as a Family Physician in Centralia.

A graduate of Seattle Pacific University and the University of Washington School of Medicine, he interned at the Philadelphia General Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and did his service as a U. S. Air Force Physician. He and his family then spent several years in Taiwan and India, prior to coming to Centralia to open a successful medical practice from which he retired in 2007.

Dr. Dave and his wife, Diana, who works in the Stillwaters Estates office, are the parents of three children, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Their oldest son is also a physician practicing in Centralia, their daughter is the Director of Palliative Care at St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, Washington, and their second son is a Data Analyst with Microsoft in Redmond, Washington.

In addition to his family and the several community Boards of which he is a member, Dr. Dave’s special interests include travel, genealogy, church, community and charitable projects.

Diana Williams

Co-founder Diana Williams has worked in the Stillwaters office as long as there has been an office. Diana works primarily with our builder and suppliers to design new homes for our buyers. Diana grew up in Seattle, where she graduated from Ballard High School and attended Seattle Pacific University.

It was during her studies at SPU that she met her future husband of 54 years, Dr. David Williams. Following his graduation from the University of Washington School of Medicine and an internship in Philadelphia, they lived for 4 years in Taiwan and 3 years in India, before moving to Centralia in 1976 to enter private practice.

Diana specializes in interior design. One of her exterior and interior designs was the Stillwaters Colonial Residence Assisted Living Facility, located on the grounds of Stillwaters Estates. She also enjoys entertaining and cooking for family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling.

Sherri Garland

Sherri’s hope as she begins each day is to be a blessing to someone at Stillwaters; however, she says it usually turns out that someone coming into the office ends up blessing her. Sherri has worked in the Stillwaters Estates office since 2006, and serves as the Administrative Assistant in the office. She manages all of the rental apartments at Stillwaters and truly enjoys working with this age group. Each day produces its unique challenges but the job is very rewarding and fulfilling.

After moving to Centralia in 1972 from the Yakima Valley in Central Washington, Sherri graduated from Centralia High School in 1977. She married a local boy, raised two sons in this “outstanding community”, and can’t imagine living anywhere else!

Her previous work experience includes 25 years as the Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools for the Centralia School District, and 8 years as a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Kline & Associates from 2006-2014.

Julie McQuarrie

Julie thinks the best part of her job is spending time with people who are older and wiser than her: “We have so many accomplished people living at Stillwaters, and I get to learn from their life experiences.”

Julie graduated from Olympia High School in 1986, and went on to play basketball at Pierce College.  After college she returned to Olympia and opened a graphic design firm where she achieved international acclaim for logo design.  Before coming to Stillwaters Julie spent six years preparing tax returns and performing other financial services for a CPA firm in Olympia.

Julie and her husband Jeff of 28 years live in Centralia and are active in their church and the community.  Their son Jack lives in Centralia and her in-laws recently built a home in Stillwaters.

Matthew Williams

The newest addition to our staff is Matthew Williams. Matthew assists with all aspects of our office work and most often you will hear him answering the phone when you call. Matthew enjoys the office atmosphere and assisting our residents.

Matthew has been busy learning the ropes of Stillwaters, thoroughly enjoying the experience. At the age of 15, he began helping in the office, taking a year away since then to attend Ecola Bible College.

Grandson to Dr. Dave & Diana Williams, Matthew has been involved in Stillwaters Estates from the day he could don an apron for baking cookies and busing tables at special events.

Matthew has also worked in the kitchen, dining room, and office, at the Stillwaters’ Colonial Residence Assisted Living center. He likes volunteering at his church whether he is working with kids, ushering, or running the projector. Matthew also enjoys New Orleans Jazz, history, swing dancing, traveling, and anything sweet.

Ilya Dishkant

Operations Manager

Ilya has been the man behind what residents describe as the “resort-like” look at Stillwaters since 1992.

He learned gardening from his father who grew flowers and tomatoes as a business while Ilya was growing up in his native Russia. Ilya later attended college in Muldova in Southern Russia, getting a degree in engineering. As a result of his background and training in both of these areas, he has been able to provide solid leadership to our grounds and maintenance crews.

Ilya immigrated to the United States in 1990 and soon landed in the twin-cities area of Centralia-Chehalis, Washington through the influence of his sponsor, who lived in Chehalis. He enjoys the interaction he has with our residents, and takes great pride in the appearance of our yards and landscape.

He is married and the father of three children. His wife, Lubov, serves as the Head of Housekeeping at our Colonial Residence Assisted Living Center.
