Looking Local for Fun!

Looking Local for Fun!

I was wandering through the DISCOVER Lewis County website this week and was reminded about the many historical and touristy sites in the area.  The website is the county’s tourism site full of information about shopping, dining or staying in the area.

The website also has a great “Things to do” section that I recommend you all go look at.  Next time you want to take visitors around the area this is a great place for ideas.  For yourself, this website will remind you of all the fun and interesting things to explore locally.  Here are some examples of what you will find.

Things to do:

  • Agritourism
  • Arts & Theatre
  • Discover our Mountains
  • Explore our History
  • Farmers’ Markets
  • Hiking & Biking
  • Historic Sites
  • Hunting & Fishing
  • Parks in Lewis County
  • Road Trips
  • Shopping
  • Sports

Fox TheatreAs an example, under Road Trips there are six local excursions worth checking out.

Wander through the website and get inspired to get out and explore Lewis County!
