December 6, 2018
Brrrr…. it’s cold outside! Does this put you in the mood for Christmas, Hanukkah or other holiday celebrations?
Here at Stillwaters the poles are wrapped and the lights are up and starting this week the special events begin.
This past Tuesday the annual Westminster Bell Choir concerts was here at the Gathering Place. The music
was very special and holiday-filled.
Tomorrow, December 7th, the music continues with the Centralia High School Jazz Choir singing joyous holiday songs. This is a very special annual event not to be missed. 10:30, here at the Gathering Place.
Saturday, December 8th, the City of Centralia hosts the 8th annual Lighted Tractor Parade. The parade starts at 6 p.m. in downtown Centralia and is really one of the most fun parades in the area. With 90 entrants in the parade this year be sure to take a chair to enjoy the whole parade. Each year this parade gets bigger and with more than tractors allowed it is fun to see how many lights can be put on each different vehicle. The parade organization requires at least 2000 lights on each entrant, so big or small, they are quite the sight.
This Sunday, December 9th, is our annual Williams’ Christmas Buffet. The buffet is a holiday gift to all residents from the Williams family. Come enjoy the opportunity to meet and visit with neighbors. Just bring yourself, everything is provided. Seatings at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. Choose one of these seatings to come and enjoy this feast hosted by Dave and Diana Williams & Family.
So put on the holiday music and get in the mood for some fun happenings. Enjoy Stillwaters, especially during the holidays!
Quote of the Week:
“I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
–Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
