It’s that time of year when Stillwaters begins to sparkle as lights go up, wreaths appear and lamp posts around the neighborhood get wrapped in red ribbon. It all looks very festive when all the hustle and bustle of decorating is complete.
This week Mr. Blogger and I volunteered to put ribbons on posts and for once it wasn’t FREEZING Cold or raining. Just a little red ribbon goes a long ways to getting things ready for Christmas around here.
As each home gets decorated in individual ways, so does the Gathering Place and lights throughout the neighborhood. A big thanks to the hardworking Stillwaters crew for all the beautiful Christmas lights and bows that are up here at the office and on street lights and the Gazebo.
After all the decorating comes the special events:
Tuesday, December 6th: Westminster Bell Choir Concert, here at the Gathering Place. 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 8th: Christmas Movie “Beyond Tomorrow”, here at the Gathering Place. 6 p.m. (5:45 for ice cream)
Friday, December 9th: Centralia High School Jazz Choir, here at the Gathering Place at 11:45 a.m. Come early to get a good seat for this very special annual event.
Sunday, December 11th: Williams Christmas Party, here at the Gathering Place. We are trying something new this year with seatings at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. Everything is provided at this residents only event.
Quote of the Week:
I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. – Charles Dickens
