The weather this week has produced some very beautiful spring color that I thought I would share. The very warm weather earlier in the week and then rain today means that more is yet to come. The neighborhood gets even more beautiful than usual this time of year with the brilliant colors. See if you don’t agree!
The lawns were being mowed afterwards some were being fed (catching the weather just right before the rains) and I caught one of our maintenance crew in action. Jose is one of nine workers that spend their time keeping this neighborhood beautiful.

Happenings this Week:
Today and Tomorrow: Friends of the Centralia Library Book Sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 22nd and 23rd at the Centralia Timberland Library located at 110 South Silver Street. You’ll find a large selection of fiction and non-fiction books for children and adults, along with CDs, DVDs and much more. Hours are 10am-3pm on Saturday. All proceeds benefit children and adult programs and services. Call 360-736-0183 for more information.
Saturday, April 23rd: The Washington Bluegrass Association will hold its second Concert at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis on Saturday, April 23rd at 7pm. The Grass Station of Portland will be live onstage with special guest fiddler Martin Stevens. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased the day of the event. For more information, call 360-880-9667.
Saturday, April 23rd: Seedpod Farm to Host Spring Festival and Craft Fair Seedpod Farm’s Spring Festival and Craft Fair will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Local vendors will be selling crafts, preserves, vegetable and herb starts, soaps and fibers. There will be crafts, homesteading demos, kids activities, food for purchase and live music. This Weekend: In celebration of National Parks Week, April 16th-24th, there’s free admission to all national parks, including Mount Rainier.
Next Thursday, April 28th: It’s Potluck night here at Stillwaters Estates. Bring your favorite potluck dish and plate. Silverware, napkins and cups are provided. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and we will have musical entertainment for our after-dinner program. Come join the fun!

After a stormy weekend we should be back to partly cloudy (part Sun) and some clear days next week. The temperatures will stay in the 60’s through next week.
