Here’s a fun thought from the recent Costco Connection Magazine – celebrate crazy (whacky) National something day every day of the month or year. Add a little fun to your day or week by celebrating a fun National Day. Adding a smile, chuckle or outright laughter to your day is very healthy for you.
According to National Day Calendar every day has at least one and sometimes three or four National things to celebrate. Yesterday was National Chocolate Macaroon day – how did I not know that! Here are a few to contemplate celebrating:
Today
National Cheese Day
June 5th

National Yo-Yo Day
June 7th
National Cancer Survivor’s Day – First Sunday in June

Quote of the Day:
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one. – Dr. Seuss
Happenings this week:
Friday, June 5th: Centralia’s Evergreen Playhouse is launching performances of “A Comedy of Errors” on Friday. In Shakespeare’s shortest and zaniest play, two sets of identical twins, separated since birth, are reunited in extreme comic mayhem as those who thought they knew them well are constantly shocked to find that appearances can be deceiving, and even the name you know someone by can fall short of solving the problem of who is really who.
The Evergreen Playhouse is hosting the touring production of Professor Quantius McGaffigan’s Vaudeville Revue, which have thrilled audiences the world over with its portrayals of The Bard’s greatest plays, and now unleash its talents onto the residents of the Lewis County area. The play will run June 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. There will also be a Thursday pay-what-you-will at 7:30 p.m. June 11.
Admission is $10 for adults, and $8 for students and Evergreen Playhouse members. All proceeds from the play will go to help support the Evergreen Playhouse, which is located at 226 W. Center St.
Also Friday, June 5th: Historic Lewis County Farmers Market, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., corner of Pearl and Maple streets, Centralia, (360) 736-8977 or [email protected]
Tuesday, June 9th: Community Farmers Market, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Boistfort Street, downtown Chehalis, (360) 740-1295,www.communityfarmersmarket.net

Sunday is Cancer Survivor’s Day. Wonder how many of you fit the category? My husband is one of the lucky ones. His cancer was found stage one and totally removed last August.
