I heard some interesting statistics this week from a real estate survey. The survey asked what home buyers think about the home buying process. This is interesting to me as I spend most of my time in the office at Stillwaters working as a Real Estate Agent, a Realtor. I represent buyers who come to buy at Stillwaters Estates. I am thinking it might be interesting to you also, dear reader. Stillwaters works hard to keep current with technology and keep current on trends for quick and efficient home buying.
What would you guess is the number one way buyers look for a new home? If you guessed the internet you are correct- partially! 89% of respondents to a national home buyers survey said the internet was their number one way to get information in the home buying process, right alongside their Realtor. Both the internet and their Realtor far outpaced the traditional methods of open houses or yard signs, as a source of information.
We recently made changes to our Stillwaters website, www.stillwatersestates.com, to be more informative to home buyers. As an example, if you know someone looking for a home to buy they can go to our website and click on “Homes for Sale” and see the latest listings in Stillwaters Estates. If they go further to find more information on each listing the website takes them directly to the Listing Agent’s website and the full listing information (photos, videos, and lots of other minute details) about the house.
We have three Realtors in the Stillwaters Estates office who are “Buyers Agents” who represent the buyer only. The
advantage to working with our office is that we are very familiar with Stillwaters Estates details, covenants and life in this neighborhood. The seller is represented by the Listing Agent and when buyers make an offer on a house the Buyer’s agent presents the offer to the Listing Agent and the negotiation process begins.
I write all this to say that I think we have a lot to offer buyers via the internet and by connecting with Realtors here at Stillwaters. Vickie Jackson, Sherri Garland and I look forward to working with buyers – especially friends and family you refer our way.
